FOOTAGE of the Dorset Police officer accused of murdering his nurse lover was shown to the jury at Salisbury Crown Court yesterday.
Timothy Brehmer, 41, of Hordle in the New Forest, is accused of murdering Claire Parry, also 41 and of Bournemouth at the Horns Inn car park on May 9. Brehmer denies Murder but admits manslaughter.
And the jury in the trial were shown footage from police bodycams as he described the incident to paramedics on the scene.
A sobbing Brehmer can be heard saying “I’m so sorry” as he is arrested on suspicion of murder.
CCTV footage also shows Brehmer and Mrs Parry arrive separately at the car park, and then Brehmer walking to the entrance of the pub and sitting on the floor.
The defendant claims he “went too far” when trying to get Mrs Parry out his car so he could go kill himself after the nurse had just told his wife about the affair, which had been going on for ten years.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to deal with knife wounds to Brehmer’s arms and an unconscious Mrs Parry hanging “part-in, part-out” of a car in the back of the car park.
She was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital where she died the next day of a brain injury due to compression to the neck, Brehmer was then further arrested on suspicion of murder.
Brehmer denies murder, the trial continues today.
