A WOMAN was injured after getting knocked over by a dog in Weymouth.
Wyke Coastguard and ambulance paramedics were called to fields near Pirates Lane yesterday at around 12.30pm to provide assistance to the woman, who was suffering with a suspected dislocated shoulder.
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard said: "South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust requested our assistance to assist with a female casualty in a field close to Pirates Lane.
"She had suffered a possible dislocated shoulder after getting knocked over by a dog. She was made more comfortable by paramedics administering pain relief before being placed in a stretcher.
"(After) joining forces with paramedics she was then carried the quarter of a mile to an awaiting ambulance on Camp Road."
