More Dorset arts organisations have received lifeline funding to help them survive in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

They are among 588 cultural and creative organisations around the country which will share £76 million in the latest round of funding from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund.

As reported, a number of organisations and groups, including museums and theatres, have received financial support.

Further funding – more than £200,000 – has been announced today.

Portland Museum gets £71,050, Bridport Electric Palace gets £50,000 and LymeArts Community Trust Ltd receives £50,000.

Additionally, Cape Farewell, based in Sydling St Nicholas which bring artists, scientists and educators together to collectively address and raise awareness about climate change, receives £67,391.
