THE man arrested on suspicion of arson after a vehicle fire in an underground car park in Bournemouth has been released under investigation.

As reported, a 52-year-old man was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation and arrested after a vehicle fire in Dean Park Crescent on October 13.

The vehicle in an underground car park was found to be “well alight” with the fire spreading to a six-storey building.

Three fire crews from Poole rushed to the scene at 12.16am along with appliances from Redhill Park, Ferndown and Hamworthy.

The crews were supported by the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne.

Police also attended and arrested the 52-year-old on suspicion of arson.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police confirmed he has now been released under investigation.
