POLICE discovered a driver had failed to reapply for his licence after being banned 33 years ago.
The force's No Excuse Team stopped the Mitsubishi driver in its continuing crackdown on rogue drivers yesterday.
A spokesman said: "This Mitsubishi was seen in the Somerford Road area of Christchurch.
"The driver has never reapplied for his licence since a ban in 1987. Vehicle seized, fixed penalty issued. No Excuse."
During the patrol they stopped a Vauxhall Insignia whose driver failed to provide his insurance company with information they'd asked for, so they cancelled his policy.
"He was given a £300 fine, six points plus seizure costs for his car being impounded."
