A VEHICLE was seized after police found the driver had never reapplied for his licence after a ban in 1987.
Officers from the No Excuse team were in the town when, as well as seizing two cars, dealt with a mobile phone offence and “a few speeding offences”.
A spokesperson for the team said: “This Vauxhall Insignia was seen on Longfleet Road Poole.
“The driver failed to provide his insurance company with information they'd asked for, so they cancelled his policy. £300 fine six points plus seizure costs.
“This Audi's number plate was too small. £100 fine.
“The motorbike was recorded at 45mph along West Street Poole. The rider was trying it out, as he'd only just picked it up. £100 fine, three points.
“The VW transporter driver was seen holding and using his mobile phone whilst driving along Lymington Road Christchurch. £200 fine, six points.
“This Mitsubishi was seen in the Somerford Road area of Christchurch. The driver has never reapplied for his licence since a ban in 1987. Vehicle seized, fixed penalty issued.”
