DETECTIVES investigating the death of man in Boscombe have charged a man with assisting an offender.

James Cutting, aged 31, died after being found with stab wounds in Boscombe Chine Gardens on the evening of Tuesday, June 30.

As reported, a 16-year-old boy from London – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was charged with murder. He is due to stand trial in January next year.

A 19-year-old man from Leyton, Waltham Forest, was charged with assisting an offender and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

The teenagers are both next due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on Friday, October 23.

Providing an update on detectives’ investigations, a statement from Dorset Police on the evening of Thursday, October 22, said another man had been charged.

The statement said: “Following further enquiries, on Thursday, October 22, a 49-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested and has now been charged with assisting an offender.

“He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday, October 23.”
