POLICE have urged people to not break any coronavirus restrictions this Halloween - and have advised against trick or treating to help limit the spread of the virus.
A Dorchester Police spokesperson said: "We are strongly advising that families do not go trick or treating.
"Due to the rule of six, which applies both indoors and outdoors, gatherings exceeding that limit such as traditional Halloween parties and social events cannot take place this year.
"Let's all work together to prevent the spread of coronavirus and keep infection rates low across the region."
They have suggested alternative ways to celebrate the event, including organising a scavenger hunt in the house, arranging a virtual fancy dress party, having a window dressing competition with neighbours or organising a virtual horror quiz.
