STAFF members at Waitrose are self-isolating after an employee tested positive for coronavirus.
The branch, in Tudor Arcade, Dorchester, has confirmed that a worker within the supermarket has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Staff members who have been identified as close contacts of the person are currently self-isolating.
A spokeswoman for Waitrose added that the supermarket is in contact with Public Health Dorset.
She said: "We can confirm that a partner in our Dorchester shop has tested positive for Covid-19. We are staying in touch and wish them a very speedy recovery.
"Partners who have been identified as close contacts of the affected Partner are self-isolating. We are in contact with Public Health Dorset and have taken all action necessary for the health and safety of our Partners and customers."
Waitrose has introduced a number of measures to curb the spread of coronavirus during the pandemic, including dedicated marshals to help manage queues and social distancing signage.
Hand sanitiser stations have been installed at the store’s entrances while screens have been placed at the checkouts to protect customers and employees.
