A QUANTITY of meat has been stolen from a store in Purbeck.

Police have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

Investigators say that a man entered the Co-op supermarket, Sandford Road filling station, around 11.30am on Thursday, August 27, and filled his bag with a "substantial quantity meat" before leaving the store without paying.

Police Constable Phil Pearson, of Poole police, said: "We have carried out a number of enquiries since the incident to try and identify the man responsible, but these have so far proved unsuccessful.

"We are still investigating the matter and I am now in a position to release a CCTV image of a man I would like to speak to and would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch."
