THE Sandbanks Ferry has announced a revised last sailing, as the Covid lockdown hits passengers numbers significantly.

A spokesman for the chain ferry, which operates at the entrance of Poole Harbour, said: "Following significant reductions in evening passenger numbers, from Thursday, January 7, until further notice the final daily ferry will leave Sandbanks at 7pm.

"The first ferry will continue to be the 7am from Sandbanks.

"Apologies for any inconvenience."

The ferry company has also asked passengers to ensure they comply with the government guidance on travelling during lockdown.
