FOURTEEN Marston's pubs across Dorset have reopened as lockdown measures are eased.

Marston’s has confirmed that almost 70 per cent of its English pubs will reopen from April 12 as restrictions on serving food and drinks in outdoor areas are lifted.

A number of changes have been introduced to these pubs, which include adapted food and drink offers for customers to enjoy outdoors, an online ordering system called ‘Marston’s Tap’, and customers can book tables in advance.

Whilst pubs have been closed, where possible, Marston’s has invested in and adapted its outdoor spaces and pub gardens to enhance guest experience for the reopening.

These are the 14 pubs that have reopened:

  • Famous Old Spa, Weymouth,
  • Victoria Cross, Parkstone, Poole
  • New Star, Parkstone, Poole
  • Sydney Arms, Dorchester
  • Goldies, Dorchester
  • Foundry Arms, Poole
  • Old Ship Inn, Dorchester
  • Victoria Hotel, Dorchester
  • George, Poole
  • Pure Drop, Ferndown
  • Stourvale, Christchurch
  • Trumpet Major, Dorchester
  • New Inn, Poole
  • Nothe Tavern, Weymouth

Ralph Findlay, CEO of Marston’s, said: “We are delighted we can reopen many of our pubs, but we can’t wait until all our pubs can serve customers once again.

"The resilience of our pub managers and pub partners during this time has been admirable and we look forward to safely welcoming back guests and reuniting friends and family.”
