PUBLIC comments on Dorset’s latest draft Local Plan will all be available for anyone to view – once personal information has been removed and any offensive comments purged.
Some campaigners had feared that only a summary of the comments would be made available by Dorset Council.
Planning portfolio holder Cllr David Walsh has promised that every submission will be open to inspection on a searchable database.
His response came at this week’s Cabinet meeting in reply to a public question from Mike Allen which ended with the comment: “If the Council do not store the comments received about each policy and paragraph in a searchable database accessible to the public, how can the public be certain that the Council’s responses have taken reasonable regard of all the comments received?
