YOUTHS were given 'stern words of advice' and reported by police officers after being caught on train tracks.
Purbeck North Neighbourhood Policing Team's officers were on patrol in Wool on Monday afternoon (April 12) where they stopped at the town's train station.
Upon arriving at Wool train station, they saw some young people on the track at the train station.
The group was approached by police officers and were given 'some stern words of advice'. The youths were also reported to British Transport Police for trespassing on the train tracks.
A spokesman for Purbeck Police warned that playing on train tracks can have fatal consequences.
He said: "Whilst patrolling through Wool this afternoon, we noticed some youths on the track at the train station.
"We approached them, gained details and gave them some stern words of advice.
"They have also been reported to British Transport Police for trespassing on the track. Playing on the tracks can result in death or serious injury."
