TWO men have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Corfe Mullen.

Now Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Police received a report at around 4.15pm on Monday, May 3, this year, that a property on Highfield Close had been entered while the victim was inside.

A wallet containing bank cards and cash was stolen.

Shortly afterwards, around 4.45pm, an attempt was made to use one of the bank cards at a cash machine in Castle Lane West in Bournemouth.

Two men, aged 38 and 42 and from the Poole and Bournemouth areas, have subsequently been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Karen Penn, of the priority crime team, said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to please get in touch.

“I would like to ask residents or motorists who were travelling in the area to please check their home CCTV systems or dashcams for any relevant footage.

“I am also particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed a white Ford Focus acting suspiciously in the area of this incident.”
