Durdle Door is being closed off to visitors
ACCESS to a popular Dorset beauty spot is going to be closed off this afternoon as visitors continue to flock to the area.
The road leading to Durdle Door will be shut off shortly with people being urged to avoid the area.
Posting on Twitter, Travel Dorset said: “Access road to Durdle Door will be closed shortly due to car parks at full capacity.
"Please avoid the area.”
Elsewhere in Dorset, police and BCP Council have closed off access to Sandbanks Peninsula due to an influx of visitors.
It is the second day running the road has been shut off.
Thousands of people have flocked to the Dorset coast to make the most of the sunny weather this weekend.
Temperatures are due to reach the high 20s today.
