AN AIR ambulance was called after a man suffered an injury whilst at work in Beaminster.

Ambulance crews were called to help a man who had sustained injuries whilst working in the area of White Sheet Hill in Beaminster this afternoon.

Witnesses say they saw an air ambulance land at around 12.35pm today and police said they received a call to assist the ambulance service at 12.47pm.

The man's injuries are reported to be non life-threatening and police have said that the Health and Safety Executive has been notified as a result.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 12.47pm on Friday 15 October 2021 that a man had sustained injuries whilst at work in the area of White Sheet Hill in Beaminster.

"Officers attended to assist the ambulance service. The man’s injuries were reported to be not life-threatening. His family has been made aware.

"The Health and Safety Executive has been notified."
