A 21-YEAR-OLD man from Poole has been hit with a financial penalty over a breach of coronavirus lockdown measures.
Drew James Campbell, of Sylvan Road, was convicted of taking part in a gathering of two or more people at a private address in Sixpenny Close, Poole, on February 13.
The offence took place during the third national lockdown when the government implemented a raft a stringent rules in response to a winter surge in Covid cases and hospitalisations.
The case against Campbell was dealt with at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on October 5, with it proved under the single justice procedure process.
Campbell was fined £1,100 and ordered to pay a £110 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
