A BOURNEMOUTH man has been handed a three-year driving ban after he was caught drug driving.
Richie George Wood, 31 and of Windham Road, Bournemouth, was at the wheel of a BMW 323 in Netherhampton Road, Salisbury, on February 28 when the offences took place.
Wood pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving when he appeared at South East Wiltshire Magistrates' Court in Salisbury on October 1.
The court heard a sample of Wood's blood contained not less than 800 micrograms of benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine, per litre of blood - the legal limit is 50 micrograms per litre of blood.
It also contained not less than 63 micrograms of cocaine per litre of blood – the legal limit 10 micrograms per litre.
Wood was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £85 costs.
The bench disqualified him from driving for three years.
