THE Red Arrows will be back in Dorset skies today as they make use of Bournemouth Airport.
Throughout today, October 20, the famous RAF’s aerobatic team will be landing at the runway in Hurn twice.
They are using the airport as a stop off ahead of and after a display over Portsmouth Harbour in support of an event on HMS Prince of Wales while the ship is in port.
According to the Red Arrows display schedule, on military-airshows.co.uk, the iconic red planes will arrive at Bournemouth Airport at 2.33pm, flying over north Dorset on the journey from their base at RAF Scampton.
The team will depart the airport at 5.34pm, flying over Bournemouth, south of the Isle of Wight and north to Portsmouth.
They will then return to Bournemouth Airport after travelling over the New Forest. The display team are due to land back on the runway at 6.13pm.
The jets are set to make their return to RAF Scampton tomorrow morning, setting off at 10am and travelling over east Dorset.
