DORSET County Hospital has been shortlisted for a national healthcare finance award.

DCH has been revealed as one of the final three hospitals in the running for a 'delivering value with digital technology' award in this year's HFMA National Healthcare Finance Awards.

The awards aim to recognise the work of finance teams and individuals from across the UK, covering key aspects of finance team roles, including the production of accounts, costing, training and governance. The awards also focus on the importance of engaging clinicians in financial management.

A spokesman for DCH said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for the Delivering Value with Digital Technology Award in partnership with Dorset CCG.

"A huge well done to everyone involved in this project."

A spokesman for HFMA UK said: "Exciting news, the shortlists for the HFMA Awards 2021 have now been announced.

"As always, the strength of this year's nominations was extremely high. Congratulations and good luck to all of our shortlisted entries."

An awards ceremony will take place on December 9 and the London Hilton Metropole. The event will also be streamed online.
