OWEN Coulter-Thomas popped up in the last minute to earn Wareham Rangers a dramatic 2-1 victory over Sherborne Town reserves.

With just one win in the Dorset Premier League all campaign prior to the weekend, the game looked set to end all-square after Jack Delves had netted for Wareham in the first half.

But Coulter-Thomas had other ideas, with his late winner at Purbeck Sports Centre lifting Tom Birch's men up a spot to 16th in the division.

Elsewhere, Swanage Town & Herston was well beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth Sports.

Swans fought hard in the first half to contain the in-form Sports and went close when Joe Clark's long-range shot was well saved by keeper Louis Cruttenden and Charlie Brassington fluffed his lines when well placed.

However it took a great save from Cam Geard to keep the scores level and the home side created and wasted some good chances before the break as the half ended goalless.

Two minutes after the restart, Jack Voisey headed Bournemouth ahead and four minutes later the hosts increased their lead at Chapel Gate through Luke Street with another header.

Clark responded with a long-range shot which just missed the target and Conor Magnier was just off target following good work from Clark and Brassington.

Sports secured the points when Voisey completed his brace for a well-deserved win.

Corfe Castle are still rooted to the foot of the table following their 1-0 home loss to Dorchester Sports.
