CHERRIES’ Scott Parker and Lloyd Kelly have been rewarded for fine October form with nominations for the Championship’s individual awards.

Head coach Parker led his side to a 100% record throughout October with victories over Sheffield United, Bristol City, Stoke City, Huddersfield Town and Reading, setting a new club record for the best start to a season in the process.

As a result, he is up for Manager of the Month alongside other nominees Neil Critchley (Blackpool), Russell Martin (Swansea City) and Marco Silva (Fulham).

Meanwhile, Cherries’ imperious centre-back Kelly, who had worn the armband for the league leaders this season, has been nominated for the Player of the Month award.

Cherries kept four clean sheets in October and haven’t conceded a goal away from home in over 11 hours.

He scored his first goal of the campaign in the 3-0 win over playoff chasers Huddersfield Town.

Kelly has been nominated alongside Emil Riis Jakobsen (Preston North End), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) and Jerry Yates (Blackpool).

The winner of both awards will be confirmed on Friday morning, with the judging panel consisting of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
