ITALIAN chain restaurant Prezzo, which has a branch in Weymouth, has pledged to help feed the vulnerable and families on low-income in Dorset this Christmas.

The chain has teamed up with the charity Feeding Britain in a bid to make sure those who are struggling do not go hungry this festive season by providing an additional 15,000 meals.

“We are enormously grateful to Prezzo for their generous support which will add massively to our ability to help families in need this Christmas” said Andrew Forsey, national director at Feed Britain.

Weymouth’s venue has teamed up with Feeding Weymouth as part of the campaign.

Prezzo also wants to encourage other people to get involved by nominating an unsung hero in the community as well as donating to the Feeding Britain via the charity's website.

Karen Jones, chairman at Prezzo said: “We want to help bring our communities together and allow them to make new memories and love every moment. We’re delighted to be working with Feeding Britain to celebrate local heroes and to be raising vital funds for the incredible work that they do across the UK.”
