SWANAGE Town & Herston secured the Purbeck bragging rights with a resounding 4-0 win over rivals Wareham Rangers.

Struggling Wareham made a decent start at Day's Park, forcing a good save from Ben Hodder to deny Owen Thomas.

Sam Beale and George Sparrow both went close for Swans, before the hosts did break the deadlock through Rowan Robinson, his first goal for the club since signing from Corfe Castle.

Paul Best squandered two big opportunities to double the tally before the break, as Swans went in 1-0 up.

The hosts dominated after the restart, doubling their lead through Charlie Brassington.

And the game was put to bed just past the hour mark, courtesy of an Ogun Gundogdu header.

Best then got his name on the scoresheet for the 12th time this season, smashing home after goalkeeper Tommy Beard spilled Gundogdu's header.

This was Swans' first win in nine games and leaves them 13th in the table.

Wareham sit second from bottom, five points clear of Corfe Castle, who were without a game at the weekend.
