TITLE-CHASING Salisbury showed their class to emerge 39-12 victors at Swanage & Wareham.
Swans got off to a flying start, taking the lead when George Crouch went over in the corner. Steve Woolley added the extras to put the hosts 7-0 up after six minutes.
Salisbury quickly hit back with a penalty of their own, before the visitors got their first try of the afternoon.
Back came Swanage, with winger Harry Spyers picking up the loose ball before heading to the line, racing 30 metres to score in the corner.
But from 12-8 up, Swans found themselves on the back foot for the majority of the remainder of the contest.
Less than 10 minutes after Spyers's score, Salisbury had responded to move 20-12 ahead.
That lead was extended to 27-12 on the stroke of half-time as Dom Porter crashed over.
George Fossey added a fifth try for Salisbury eight minutes into the second half.
Swans' defence then held firm until the closing stages with a catch and drive move finished off as Salisbury claimed the 39-12 win, which lifted them top of the division.
Swanage host the other side in the title race, Devizes, on Saturday.
