TWO young women were sexually assaulted by a stranger in Bournemouth town centre in the early hours of the morning.
An investigation has been launched by police over the incident in Horseshoe Common on Saturday, June 25.
The two 18-year-olds were walking through the public space when they were approached by an unknown man, It is reported that the man put his arms around one of the women, before sexually assaulting both of the victims.
The offender is described as white with some facial hair and was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and jeans.
Dorset Police detectives investigating the sexual assaults are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Constable Holly Sexton, of Bournemouth CID, said: “A full investigation is underway into this incident and we are supporting both victims throughout our enquiries.
“I would like to appeal for anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed what happened, or seen a man matching the description given, to please get in touch.
“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by anyone with any information or concerns.”
