MEMORIES, tributes and reflections following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II have been shared with the Daily Echo.

In a special episode of The Echo Dispatch podcast the son of a former Mayor of Christchurch, an ex-Dorset Police chief constable and a Royal baker spoke eloquently about the monarch.

Former Dorset Police chief constable reflected on the pride in receiving a Queen's Police Medal and the two occasions he met King Charles III when he was the Prince of Wales.

Six-time Mayor of Christchurch Eric Spreadbury escorted the Queen during her visit to the town in 1966. His son Ivor talked me through his memories of the day and what it meant to his family.

And last but by no means least, icing legend Eddie Spence MBE, whose baking included wedding cakes for the Queen, Princess Margaret and Princess Diana. The Bournemouth resident spoke about what it was like to receive his gong from Her Majesty.
