VISITORS were treated to a glass of fizz as a new fine art gallery was exhibited to Ringwood town centre for the first time.
Clarendon Fine Art opened its gallery in Ringwood’s Furlong shopping centre on Friday, October 28, and showcased a colourful range of artwork from paintings of different genres and eras to sculptures of different shapes and sizes.
Specialising in original works, limited editions and sculptures from emerging and established contemporary artists, the boutique gallery also houses a collection of rare, signed editions from 20th century masters including Picasso, Hockney and Warhol.
The gallery is located between Whistles and Paperchase – in the unit previously occupied by the popular Toys of Ringwood store which closed in March following the retirement of its owners.
Charlie Reed, marketing director of The Furlong, said: “On behalf of The Furlong, we are delighted to welcome Clarendon Fine Art to our centre. On opening day, we had lots of customers intrigued by the artwork and sculptures in this stunning gallery space.
“This store will bring another new dimension to our popular centre and the friendly team, headed up by store manager Gemma, will make purchasing original art a pleasure.”
In March, Clarendon opened a gallery in Lymington High Street.
