A MAN has admitted threatening to hurt a child unless she sent him naked photos of herself.

Ethan George Wells, 19 and whose address was given as Forum View in Bryanston near Blandford, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 4.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of causing or inciting a girl between the age of 13 and 15 to perform sexual activity and one count of possessing an indecent image of a child.

Wells, who was 17 at the time of the offences, told his youngest victim - 14 - that she ‘would die’ if she didn’t send him the images.

Elizabeth Valera, prosecuting, told the court that police had uncovered ‘a number of messages’ of a ‘sexualised nature’ between Wells and several children.

In the messages he asked the girls to send naked photos of themselves and received them from two victims - one aged 14 and one aged 16.

In one of the exchanges, Wells told the 14 year old: “I won’t ask again. If you don’t do it I will f***ing hurt you. If you don’t do it now you will die.”

The offences took place between November 11, 2020 and July 7, 2021.

The court heard the offences came to light during a separate investigation where Wells was ultimately convicted of stalking an ex-girlfriend.

Wells admitted, in December 2021, to stalking an ex-girlfriend and threatening to burn her house down.

Among the messages sent on that occasion, he told the victim “I’ll f****** hit you into next year”, “go cut your wrists and die” and “I know where you f****** live and I will f****** burn it down”.

Mr McWilliams, representing Wells at the latest hearing, noted that he had already served the community order for the stalking conviction and questioned whether, had these charges been brought at the same time, he would be facing any different punishment.

Wells' previous conviction saw him issued with an 18-month community order and a two year restraining order.

The case has been adjourned for sentencing at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 16.
