THOUSANDS of people flocked to the seafront for Bournemouth Air Festival’s super Saturday.

A packed flying schedule, warm sunshine, and clear skies drew crowds as far as the eye could see.

Festival goers were treated to powerhouse displays kicking off with the Typhoon.

Cranking up the noise to 11, the Typhoon roared across the skies with its jet engines aglow before it was joined by the Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Spectators were then treated to displays from the Firebirds, Tigers, and new for this year, the Bronco.

Visitors were also entertained by a host of activities on the ground including Army displays on the beach, the RAF village on East Cliff, and classic cars on East Overcliff.

The beach was busy from early in the morning, with people arriving with camping chairs, sunshades and picnics as they sought out the best spots.

The Spitfire, Mustang, RAF Chinook, also wowed the crowds.

By late afternoon, the beach was bustling with a number of boats also flocking so people could watch the displays from the water.

The day was topped off with a display from air festival favourites the Red Arrows with their signature red, white, and blue smoke trailing across the skies.

The reds are set to complete their fourth consecutive display at the festival at 2.45pm on Sunday.

Tonight, visitors can enjoy the final Night Air display of this year's event at around 7.25pm, followed by fireworks on the seafront at 10pm.
