A PERSON had to be rescued from a sinking car after it had crashed into a river.
The driver of a black car was rescued from the River Allen at around 9pm on Christmas Day, December 25.
Fire crews from Verwood, Poole, Wimborne, and Ringwood fire stations were called to the river just past the Horton Inn in Horton, off the B3078 past Wimborne, at 8.44pm.
A spokeswoman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said a car had crashed into the river and the driver needed rescuing.
Firefighters rescued one person from the stricken car, who was uninjured.
A stop time for the crews came in several minutes later at 9.11pm.
