MORE than 900 people are currently without power in Hamworthy.
A total of 911 customers have been hit by a power outage this afternoon.
Power is not expected to be restored until 11pm tonight.
In a message on its website, power company SSEN said: “We’re very sorry for the power cut and are aware of a fault on our main network affecting 911 homes.
“This is affecting a large area and it’s likely several streets in your aware are affected by the same outage.”
SSEN said engineers had been due to arrive in the area at 4.50pm.
It added: “Once they arrive, they will get straight to work on investigating the fault and attempt to restore your power.”
SSEN said the cause of the power cut is a fault on its underground network.
