AS SOMEONE who does not possess a smartphone, I have been baffled, frustrated and highly infuriated by the ticket machines that have been installed in the majority of car parks.

In my opinion, all current ticket machines should be removed and every car park should have a wooden hut in which sits a human being who takes payment.

Such a move would strike a blow for humanity in a world that is becoming increasingly reliant on impersonal digital technology.
