A MAN has been arrested and a van was seized after an early morning rural burglary in Blandford.

A countryside address in Moor Critchel was broken into at around 3.30am on March 12.

A ladder, Stihl jet wash, battery and charger pack, Stihl hedge trimmer, a mini-Shetland Hitec harness, and Liverpool driving bit marked with the postcode of the address were stolen.

The lock was also broken during the break-in.

Dorset Rural Crime Team enquired about the incident and subsequently arrested a man for burglary.

He remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.

The vehicle that is believed to have been used in the burglary was also seized in Poole.

A spokesperson for the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said: “Big shout out to Special Constable 3071 (pictured) who came out to assist the team at short notice.
