AN OFFICE of an international audit, tax and advisory firm in Poole has grown.

Mazars office in the town had growth of seven per cent, as the firm released its financial results for the year ending in August 2023.

It has also expanded its team of staff, including taking on people at the early stages of their career, including four school leavers, four interns and two trainees.

This means the number of staff working at this office, in Merck House, Seldown, near Poole bus station, has grown to just under 80 people.

The Poole office has seen growth across all services, with audit and private client work driving this growth in particular, the firm said.

Its tax, outsourcing, advisory, consulting and transaction services have also expanded.

Notable new client wins for the Poole office include Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions and related UK subsidiaries and Learndirect Group.

The office has also been supporting charities in the area, including Diverse Abilities, Life Education and Lewis Manning Hospice Care.

Staff at the office are also working in conjunction with the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, setting up the Future Leaders Group, supporting younger generations to build their business contacts and network.

Commenting on the business’s growth and successes in the south west, Lesley Fox, Poole office managing partner, said: “Our teams across the south west have had hugely successful years, with all teams growing as we expand the services we offer to our clients.

“We’ve supported clients with a variety of our services, and collectively our offices have contributed to strong income growth.

“Looking ahead, we will continue to make investments to strengthen our services for local clients, as well as for any international opportunities which come through our new global network with Forvis.”

Elsewhere in the south west, the firm’s teams in Bristol and Gloucester have also grown by 16 per cent and 18 per cent respectively.

Forvis Mazars, a global two-firm network, is set to launch on June 1.
