THE following cases were heard at Poole Magistrates' Court:

JAMES MACKIE, 23 and of West Malling, admitted possession of a class B drug after being found with cannabis at Oxford Point in Bournemouth on February 13, 2023. He was fined £80, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32, and ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

SOPHIE HUGHES, 47 and of Frederica Road in Bournemouth, was found guilty of drink driving in Frederica Road in Bournemouth on July 30, 2023. She was disqualified from driving for six months. She was also fined £300, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120, and ordered to pay costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

CHARLIE DARCH, 32 and of Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, was found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in a racially aggravated offence towards a woman in Bournemouth on July 9, 2023. He was conditionally discharged for a period of 18 months and ordered to pay £250 in compensation.

MASEN ARCHIE ROBERTS-BAXTER, 19 and of no fixed address, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Poole Magistrates Court on April 5, 2023. The community order was revoked, and another was made with new requirements, including a requirement to complete 100 hours of unpaid work. He was also ordered to pay costs of £60.

JOANNE WELCH, 32 and of Castleton Avenue in Bournemouth, admitted theft from a shop after stealing items to the value of £96.15 from Asda in Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Bournemouth on December 16, 2023. She was conditionally discharged for a period of 12 months.

NICUSOR LIGA, 34 and of Bournemouth, admitted driving whilst disqualified and without insurance in Portchester Place, Bournemouth, on January 9. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, and handed an eight week prison sentence suspended for 18 months.

KIERAN PENALUNA, 23 and of Sea View Road in Poole, admitted driving whilst disqualified and without insurance, fraudulently using a registration mark/document, and failing to stop for police, all in Poole on February 11. He also admitted to possession of a class A drug after being found with 0.5g of cocaine in Poole on the same date. He was handed a community order lasting until March 17, 2025, with a requirement to complete 40 hours of unpaid work.

JAMES DAWSON, 35 and of Poole Lane in Bournemouth, admitted breach a non-molestation order in Poole on August 20, August 29 and September 24, 2023, by contacting and communicating with someone he was prohibited from contacting under the order. He was handed a community order lasting until March 17, 2025. He was also fined £20, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and ordered to pay costs of £45 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

PAUL COOK, 48 and of Luckham Road in Bournemouth, admitted breaching a restraining order in Bournemouth on September 18, 2023, by contacting someone he was prohibited from contacting under the order. He was handed a community order lasting until March 17, 2026. He was also fined £20, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and ordered to pay costs of £45 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

CONNOR POUNDS, 21 and of Rossmore Road in Poole, admitted common assault after assaulting a woman in Poole on October 20, 2023. He was handed a community order lasting until March 17, 2026. He was also fined £20, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and ordered to pay costs of £40 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
