A Poole boutique lifestyle store has moved premises to the 'home of independent retailers'.

First opened in December 2022, bohemian country boutique store Lavender Moon has moved to Kingland, near the Dolphin Centre.

Owner, Bethany Holland, opened the doors of the new store on April 6 and has said the move has been inspired by an increase in it's customers and a want to be in the heartland of Poole independent retailers.

She said: "Kingland is the home of independent retailers in Poole, so it felt natural bringing Lavender Moon into the hub. Being located in the centre of town means my customers can pop in more regularly and visit Lavender Moon while shopping with other small businesses, too.

“The Dolphin Poole team has been instrumental in supporting my business to make the most of the opportunity to move into Kingland. Mark Northey from Boiler Room Records is a very good friend, and he has welcomed me into the wonderful community, too.”

Kingland was set up in 2020 to help provide opportunity for ambitious, independent retailers.

Lavender Moon offers a variety of country and western-inspired clothing such as authentic flares, Aztec jackets, and cowboy hats.

John Grinnell, centre manager of The Dolphin Poole, added: “It is brilliant to welcome Lavender Moon to KINGLAND. Bethany’s business has proven immensely popular in Poole, and we know that customers will be delighted to see the new shop open among a community of local retailers.

“The continued success of the businesses trading on KINGLAND comes as a result of Legal & General’s vision and strategy to reimagine traditional retail. At The Dolphin Poole we are committed to supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs, providing them with the space, community, and opportunity to thrive.”

Bethany previously worked for the ambulance service but decided to open the store and pursue her dreams to grow her own business.

Lavender Moon is joining a diverse range of businesses for shoppers at Kingland to explore on KINGLAND, including Titanium Flower, Boiler Room Records, Wild Roots, and Restored Retro.
