Members of St Idloes Lodge Mike Rutland and John Wilde raised £700 for Homeless Veterans accompanied by Mike’s cat, Gibson, at Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire.

The event organised by Alabaré, raised more than £14,000, which will help homeless veterans get off the streets, put a roof over their heads, open a bank account and find a job.

A spokesperson for the Provincial Grand Lodge North Wales said: "United Grand Lodge of England & North Wales Freemasons have signed the Armed Forces Covenant to ensure those in service and veterans who have served, are treated fairly, with dignity and supported as they return to Civvy Street.

"A great example of Freemasons supporting those who need help in our community."
