NUFFIELD Health and Talbot Village Trust’s controversial planning application will be decided at an appeal by the planning inspectorate later this week.
The government has been called in to decide on the major plans for a private hospital and ‘innovation quarter’ on Highmoor Farm at Talbot Heath, Poole.
Representatives from both sides have been battling it out and making their case for the application at daily meetings at the town hall last week.
This included cross examination of the applicants by residents and legal representatives from BCP Council.
An exact date for the appeal to be decided is not yet known, but the planning inspectorate has set out an end date for between Wednesday, May 8 to Friday, May 10.
As reported, the two applicants appealed BCP Council’s non-determination of the application after the authority’s planning staff failed to complete all the documents within the statutory timeframe.
Councillors elected to reject the application back in October following a four-hour long fiery meeting in which objectors packed three rooms in the civic centre.
