WITH the countdown to blast-off of this year’s Camp Bestival well underway, the line-up of two of the festival’s most “off-the-wall” venues have been announced.

It is t-minus three weeks until the Lulworth Castle festival launches.

This year’s theme is all about outer space.

The line-ups have now been revealed for the Travelling Barn and Caravanserai.

These stages will feature gramophone DJs, folk and country artists, circus acts and more.

The Travelling Barn is the hoedown HQ at Camp Bestival and will feature the likes of DJ GG, Flutter and Wow and Sounds of the Townships as well as theatre-based fun with a tribute to Laureal and Hardy.

Greg Butler, curator of the Travelling Barn, said: "Time travel back to the Travelling Barn where there’s old fashioned family entertainment for all, whether that’s having a hoedown at high noon, laughing at the antics of Laurel and Hardy or just posing for pictures in our vintage ‘peep board.”

The Caravanserai, is made up of remodelled campervans, with the bar and venue boasting a gypsy-tinged vintage vibe.

There will be performances from the likes of The After Hours, The Brass Funkeys and Victor Menace.

Circus performances will be provided by Cirquesarai and Oh MY God! It’s the Church.

Chris Tofu, Caravanserai curator, spoke about its special atmosphere.

He said: “Caravanserai is the ultimate festival venue par excellence, where art, brass and vibe all come together in a cavalcade of festi-vibes and madness. A place whose beating heart is all about the festival love.”

Camp Bestival founder, Rob Da Bank, said the venues are perfect for a bit of escapism.

He said: “From Hillbilly barn dancing, do-si-dos and swinging your pants in the Travelling Barn, to the unique surrounds of Caravanserai and its supercharged brass madness and mind-boggling sideshow fun, I think these are two of the best venues you’ll find at any festival anywhere in the world. Perfect if you’re after a bit of escapism, so get in there, have a drink and a dance and let yourself go. I will be.”
