THE Wareham Christmas Day Annual Lunch and Party for those alone took place once again this year in the Parish Hall, Wareham and was attended and thoroughly enjoyed by 54 guests and helpers.

I should like to extend my grateful thanks to the following for their support in this very worthy venture.

Wareham Lions Club, Wareham Rotary Club, Wareham Relief in Sickness Charity and Wareham Inner Wheel Club for their generous donations.

Also to a group from the Conservative Club who kindly donated their winnings from a quiz.

To Ian from the Conservative Club and Anthony from the Quay Inn (both chefs) for their help in the kitchen, also to Ian for the wine donation, to the Lions Club and the many helpers who assisted in providing transport to the Hall and collection afterwards.

To Lisa from the Red Lion for the generous donation of sherry and also to her three children who helped to serve at table on the day, and to the many helpers on Christmas Eve who decorated the tables and prepared the vegetables.

This venture could not take place without the help of all the other volunteers on the day too numerous to mention.

Messages of thanks are coming in thick and fast stating what a wonderful party it was with wonderful food and good company.

So I would like to express my grateful thanks for all your help and support in helping me make this another truly wonderful Christmas Day for those attending and to wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year.
