All of the viewing areas for members of the public to witness Queen Elizabeth II's funeral procession are now full.

London City Hall gave an 'important update' via social media just after 9 am this morning over the public viewing areas in central London.

In the statement, the local government body announced: "All procession viewing areas are now full. 

"There is no entry to any new arrivals. Please follow the advice of stewards and police.

"If you are in the area or about to arrive, use the dedicated walking route to Hyde Park to watch Her Majesty's the Queen's State Funeral and procession."

Doors opened at Westminster Abbey for members of the congregation at 8 am with the funeral service beginning at 11 am.

The Last Post will be played towards the end of the service and will be followed by a national two-minute silence.

A procession will then leave for Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner, arriving at 1 pm before Her Majesty's coffin arrives in Windsor for private service in the King George VI Memorial Chapel.

The service will be conducted by the Dean of Westminster, the Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle.

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby, will preach the sermon and will lead the commendation.
