The Great British Bake Off returns to our screens this week for another episode of baking but it’s not airing at its usual time.

If you’ve been watching along, you might be wondering why Bake Off isn’t on tonight (October 17) and when this week’s episode will be going live.

England are playing against Italy this evening and with the coverage being broadcast on Channel 4, it means that Bake Off must be pushed back.

When is Bake Off going to be on this week?

Due to the TV schedule change, the new episode of Bake Off will be available to watch on Wednesday, October 17.

Tune in from 8pm on Channel 4 on Wednesday to see the remaining bakers take on Chocolate Week.

The official Bake Off account on X, formerly known as Twitter, said: “On your marks... get set... CHANGE OF DATE!

“There's no Bake Off on @Channel4 tonight because of the England vs Italy match, so we'll be kicking off the Chocolate Week baking action this Weds at 8pm instead. That means an extra 24 hours to stock up on suitable nibbles! #GBBO”
