Sharing why Hammond was missing, Fielding said that she was unwell and was resting but would be back soon.

Series 14 of The Great British Bake Off is Hammond's first as host after taking over duties from Matt Lucus.

Bake Off viewers devastated as Alison Hammond missing

Fans of Bake Off were quick to take to X, formally Twitter, to share their upset, as one said: "Noel looks a bit lonely without Alison there. But we're chuffed she's still doing the voiceovers."

Another joked: "No Alison. Redo next week, no elimination this week then."

Whislt another Bake Off viewer shared: "NOOOOO ALLISON IS LIKE THE BEST PART OF THE SHOW."

Since joining The Great Britsh Bake Off as host, Hammond has been praised by viewers and bakers alike for her hilouris humour and antics.

Hammond is a regular host of ITV's This Morning and was confirmed to be joining the Bake Off family when Matt Lucas shared he would be stepping away.

When it was first announced that Hammond would be a Bake Off host, she said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Great British Bake Off and can’t wait to meet this year’s bakers. It’s a huge honour to be back in the tent and I can’t wait to get started".

This week, the final four bakers have been tasked with Pattersie Week, typically one of the harder weeks.

The final four, Tasha, Matty, Dan and Josh have beaten the original 12 as only three will make it to the grand final.

The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4, Tuesdays at 8pm.
