SWANAGE stretched to three games their losing run in the Dorset Premier League after they were hammered 5-0 at Gillingham Town.

The visitors found themselves two goals behind at half-time at Woodwater Lane and conceded three more following the interval.

Defeat meant Tim Brown’s side succumbed to their fifth league loss of the campaign. Swans have conceded 19 times in their past three fixtures.

With 19 points from 16 games in the division this season, the Day’s Park side are 11th in the table.

Swans will be looking to bounce back when they make the trip to take on fourth-place Portland United reserves at Grove Corner on Saturday (2pm).

Portland were beaten 5-3 at Corfe Castle last time out, mainly thanks to a hat-trick from Corfe’s Brendon Flockton.

His treble was topped up by a brace from Courtney Johnstone for the hosts, as Corfe moved to 14th in the table.

Having secured three league wins on the spin, Corfe Castle visit seventh-place Balti Sports at Weymouth College on Saturday (2pm).

Wareham Rangers slipped to the bottom of the pile after a 5-2 defeat at Sturminster Newton United.

Second-half goals from Patrick Correia and Timothy Taylor were not enough for the visitors in their bottom-of-the-pile battle at Barnetts Field.

Wareham visit Bridport reserves on Saturday (3pm).
