SWANAGE Town & Herston’s Paul Best scooped a pair of awards at the club’s end-of-season presentation night.

The Swans star was named players’ player of the season by his team-mates, after they finished 10th in the Dorset Premier League.

Best also bagged the first team’s top goalscorer award after netting, 20 times in 23 starts for Tim Brown’s men this season.

Meanwhile, Joe Clark scooped the accolade of manager’s player, having started 30 times and scored four goals.

Supporters’ player of the season at Day’s Park went to Andy Bartlett.

The club’s reserve team also celebrated their campaign having avoided relegation in Dorset League Division One.

Sam Willcocks also scooped a players’ player and top goalscorer double, having fired 22 goals for the season.

George Taylor was named manager’s player by boss Andy Dunster, while most improved player was Jack Byrom.

Swans’ reserves finished 12th in their respective division, with 19 points from 26 league games.

Charlie Dyke was named Swans’ clubman of the year with the Jimmy Hollywood Trophy for outstanding contribution going to Eddie Rainford.

Meanwhile, Swanage have announced pre-season friendlies against Poole Town, Cobham (London), Wareham Rangers and Corfe Castle.

Their first friendly is at home against the Dolphins on July 12 (7.45pm).
