WINGER Lewis Waugh bagged two tries as Swanage & Wareham cruised to a 43-12 bonus-point victory over Corsham at Bestwall.

Looking to get back to winning ways in Southern Counties South, Swans made their intentions clear from the off, dominating in the scrum against their Wiltshire visitors.

The deadlock was broken in the fifth minute as full-back Karl Barton went over in the corner, but a converted Corsham try soon gave them the narrow advantage.

Back came Swanage, retaking the lead with centre Matt Roberts powering over. Dan Collins quickly added to the tally from a lineout drive before Waugh burst through for his first try of the afternoon.

And there was time for a fifth try before the half was out with Joe Desmond crossing the whitewash to establish a 25-7 cushion at the break.

Corsham started the second half brightly, reducing the arrears with a try before Steve Woolley's successful penalty got the home side back on track.

Waugh went in for his second score following a good move between the back with 15 minutes to play before Woolley also went over to make it 38-12.

And with the clock running down, Swans ran in their eighth try of the afternoon through Chris Tomes.
