JONATHAN Woodgate admitted it was "frustrating" to see Cherries slip out of the play-off places after his first game in permanent charge, but insisted: "There will be a lot more twists and turns to come."
Last night was the first time Cherries have been outside the Championship's top six all season, now behind Cardiff on goals scored after the Bluebirds triumphed 2-1 at Vitality Stadium.
After four games unbeaten to start his reign as caretaker boss, Woodgate lost at QPR on Saturday before being named head coach until the end of the season the following day.
And he is now facing up to back-to-back losses, following defeat to Mick McCarthy's men.
"It’s frustrating, but you need to roll your sleeves up and get on with it," said Woodgate.
"Believe in what you’re doing, still believe in the squad of players I’ve got. We’re level on points with Cardiff, so anything can happen now.
"In the season moving forward. Plenty more twists and turns."
He added: "Anything can happen in this league. You’ve just seen Cardiff there put six wins together.
"So if you do that, you’re going to end up somewhere near the top.
"In the Championship there will be a lot more twists and turns to come.
"We look to go again now against Watford."
