SWANAGE Town & Herston reserves booked their spot in the Division One Supplementary Cup final, earning Purbeck bragging rights along the way with a topsy-turvy 4-2 win over Wareham Rangers reserves.

It was a cagey start to the contest at Day's Park, but Swans edged in front slightly against the run of play.

With just a minute remaining of the first half, Sam Willcocks crossed for Paul Best to net from close range.

Goalkeeper Dan Beeston produced a fine stop to keep Swans ahead early in the second period. But he was helpless to prevent Wareham equalising when John Powell ran through the heart of the Swanage defence before slotting home.

Cameron Beard then completed the comeback to put the visitors ahead, slamming home from the penalty spot.

But this seemed to spur Swanage into life.

Neemo Nixon grabbed the equaliser, firing home from an acute angle after good work by Best.

Substitute Charlie Brassington then took matters into his own hands with a brilliant strike to put Swanage 3-2 up.

And the win was sealed with seven minutes to play when former Swan Matt Beard turned into his own net as he attempted to clear a Brassington cross.

Swanage will face Bournemouth Sports reserves in the final on Monday.

Kick-off at Milborne St Andrew's is at 4pm.

Swans: Beeston, Moss, Hibbs, Gundogdu, Nix, Clark, D Best, Parrott, Nixon, Peacock, Willcocks.
